Acro Intermediate Level
Intermediate Acro Dance class will focus on more advanced acrobatic dance techniques. This class builds and improves on flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration from the lower levels. Students will learn such things as Back hand-springs, Aerials, Illusions, Split Outs etc., and will learn to incorporate these in dance sequences. This class is strictly floor-work and does not perform any gymnastics with bars or beams. It is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility and strength and to learn to incorporate tricks in their dances.
The minimum requirement for this class is 4 years of consecutive training in Gymnastics or Acrobatics within the last 3 years or equivalent program. The participant must be able to tick the boxes for the following skills:
Chest stand
One Arm Shoulder Stand
Tinsica
Forward and Backward walkovers.
Handwalks (Continuous Steps in a line)
Note: These skills are prerequisites for Intermediate Acro. If they are not acquired yet, the participant will be required to join a Pre Intermediate Acro class first.
