At All That Jazz, we believe every step in the studio leads to something greater, and on 15 March 2026, the Trinity College London Award Presentation and Conferment Ceremony was the ultimate standing ovation for our dancers’ hard work. This ceremony honours students who achieved exceptional results in their 2024 Trinity College London dance exams in Singapore. Seeing our dancers among the honourees isn’t just a win for the school; it’s a testament to the dedication, discipline, and pure love of movement that fills our studios every day. Trinity College London qualifications are world-renowned, assessing dancers on much more than just hitting the right notes or steps: they look for musicality, performance flair, and that intangible "spark" of artistry. While earning a Distinction is a massive feat, being named a Top Distinction Holder is truly extraordinary. We are proud to congratulate the following All That Jazz students invited to take the stage at this year’s ceremony: Adalei Walsh, Hailey Rae Rodrigues, Honor Ward, Lexie Teo, Luiza Fichtner, Mica Teah, Natalie Mo, Renee Wong, Sarah Wee, and Tricia Yeo. These dancers did not just pass an exam; they commanded the floor. Their success reflects the resilience it takes to train as a dancer and the courage to perform with confidence under the scrutiny of assessment.

Every dance school teaches steps. What sets a school apart is the philosophy behind how and why those steps are taught. At All That Jazz Dance Academy, our approach to teaching dance goes well beyond technique. We believe dance is a transformative experience — one that builds confidence, discipline, creativity, and community. Here is how that philosophy shapes everything we do. More Than Steps: Building the Whole Child When a child walks into one of our studios, we are not just thinking about what they will learn that day. We are thinking about who they are becoming. Dance training at All That Jazz is designed to develop the whole child — physically, emotionally, and socially. Our classes build coordination, strength, and flexibility, but they also teach teamwork, resilience, and self-expression. Students learn to take creative risks, handle constructive feedback, and celebrate both their own achievements and those of their peers. These are skills that matter far beyond the studio. Nurturing Confidence Through Structure We believe confidence comes from competence. That is why our programmes follow internationally recognised syllabi — ISTD for ballet, ADAPT for jazz and tap, Rambert Grades for contemporary, Trinity College London for musical theatre, ADTA for acro, and RSL for street dance. These structured frameworks give students clear goals and measurable progress. When a child passes an examination or masters a new skill, they experience the satisfaction of real achievement. That feeling of accomplishment is what builds lasting self-belief. At the same time, we ensure that the structure never overwhelms the joy. Our teachers are trained to deliver syllabus-based content in a way that is engaging, age-appropriate, and fun. A Warm, Encouraging Environment The atmosphere in our studios matters as much as the curriculum. All That Jazz is built on the belief that children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and valued. Our teaching team creates a positive classroom culture where mistakes are treated as part of the learning process, not something to fear. We encourage students to try boldly, to experiment, and to express themselves. Whether a child is naturally confident or a little more reserved, our approach meets them where they are and helps them grow at their own pace. Every Dancer's Journey Is Different Some of our students dream of performing on stage. Others are here for the friendships and the fun. Some will go on to pursue dance professionally, while most will carry the lessons they learn here into other areas of their lives. We respect and support every path. Our programmes are designed so that every student — recreational or competitive, beginner or advanced — receives quality training and meaningful experiences. From our Little Movers programme for two-year-olds through to our senior competitive teams, the philosophy stays the same: build strong foundations, nurture the individual, and keep the love of dance alive. Community at the Heart of It All All That Jazz is more than a dance school — it is a community. With over 1,500 students across five studios, we have built a family of dancers, parents, and teachers who share a genuine connection. Our annual recitals, parent viewing weeks, and community events bring everyone together. Parents often tell us that the friendships their children make here are some of the most meaningful in their lives. That sense of belonging is something we work hard to protect and grow. If your child loves to sing, act, and dance — or even just one of the three — our Musical Showstoppers programme might be exactly what they are looking for. Musical theatre is one of the most complete performing arts disciplines, and at All That Jazz, we have built a programme that develops genuine triple-threat performers from age two through to eighteen. What Is the Musical Showstoppers Programme? Musical Showstoppers is our dedicated musical theatre programme, designed to develop students who are skilled in all three pillars of the art form: acting, dancing, and singing. Classes focus on building self-esteem, confidence, and creativity while teaching the specific techniques needed to perform in musical theatre. The programme is structured around preparation for Trinity College London Musical Theatre examinations, one of the most respected assessment bodies in the performing arts world. Trinity has been providing assessments since 1877, with over 850,000 candidates a year in more than 60 countries worldwide. How the Programme Is Structured The Musical Showstoppers programme runs across two main tracks: a Recreational Toddler Programme for ages two to five, and a Trinity Focused Programme for ages six to eighteen. For our youngest students (ages two to five), classes are themed around popular musicals — think The Lion King and The Little Mermaid — with sing-alongs, dance movement, short scripts, and poems. It is all delivered in a fun, imaginative way that keeps little ones engaged and excited. From age six, the programme shifts to Trinity examination preparation. Every two months, students focus on a specific musical, learning a song, monologue, and choreographed dance sequence from that production. This structure aligns naturally with the Trinity exam format, where students perform a song, a monologue or movement sequence, and engage in a reflective conversation with the examiner. The Trinity College London Pathway Trinity examinations are optional for recreational students but strongly recommended — and compulsory for our competitive musical theatre teams. The examinations give students something concrete to work toward each year and provide a recognised credential that marks their progress. What we appreciate about Trinity is that examiners allow teachers to select songs and monologues that suit each student's strengths and interests. This makes the exam experience more personal and enjoyable for the student, rather than a one-size-fits-all test. Our programme levels are aligned with Trinity grades, from Initial Level (ages six to seven) through to Grade 5 and beyond for our senior students. The Competitive Musical Theatre Programme For students who want to take their training further, our competitive programme offers intensive preparation for stage performance and competition. Competitive students audition for placement and train across acting, singing, and dance at a higher intensity. Teams range from Mini Competitive (ages five to six) through to Teen Competitive (ages thirteen to fifteen). Competitive students represent All That Jazz at major events such as Get The Beat, Origin, and Evolution, with entries spanning solo, duo, and group categories. Trinity examinations are compulsory for competitive students. Why Musical Theatre Matters Musical theatre is unique because it develops the whole performer. Students build vocal technique, learn to embody characters, develop stage presence, and master choreography — all within a collaborative, team-based environment. The skills gained in musical theatre transfer powerfully into other areas of life: public speaking, confidence in social situations, creative problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively. For many of our students, Musical Showstoppers is where they discover a lifelong love of the performing arts. Frequently Asked Questions Q: What age can my child start Musical Showstoppers? A: Children can start from age two in our Family Fun Musical Showstoppers class, which is a parent-accompanied session. Independent classes begin from age three. Q: What are Trinity College London examinations? A: Trinity College London is a leading international exam board that has been assessing performing arts since 1877. Our Musical Showstoppers programme prepares students for their Musical Theatre examinations. Q: Are Trinity exams compulsory? A: Trinity exams are optional for recreational students but compulsory for competitive team members. We strongly recommend them for all students as they provide valuable performance benchmarks. Q: Does my child need to be able to sing to join? A: Not at all. Our classes teach singing, acting, and dancing as integrated skills. Students develop all three areas progressively, regardless of their starting point. Q: What musicals do students study? A: Students explore a different musical every two months, learning songs, monologues, and choreography from a range of popular productions. The selection varies by level and is designed to keep students engaged and challenged. Ready to Get Started?
